Non Moisturizing And Average Soap - Definitely Don't Buy This!!
I love Vaadi Herbals soaps. I have used a few variants from their soap collection and absolutely loved them! It’s no wonder then that I was looking forward to try a few more of their awesome soaps. This time I bought their anti-acne soap, which claims to have tea tree oil. I have a combination skin, and hardly face any acne problem, but I still wanted to give this soap a try. I’ve to say that I’m little disappointed with this one. Why? Read the review to find out!

My Experience with Vaadi Herbals Becalming Tea Tree Anti Acne Soap:
As said before, I like Vaadi Herbals soaps. They are really gentle and can be used for the face as well. Maybe, it’s my skin’s reaction to tea tree oil and not the soap itself that is to blame for the havoc it played with my skin. I say this because I have used a tea tree toner in the past, which didn’t suit me at all. It darkened my face. This time, I bought tea tree soap and got the same result.
Okay, enough of my skin woes, let’s move onto the packaging. To put it simply, I like their packaging. They wrap the soap in two different covers one after the other and then pack it in a box. But since it is soap, it’s definitely not travel friendly. So, I’ll always say not to take it with you while travelling. Availability is also an issue. You can find Vaadi products online only. You can’t see even a single Vaadi product in the market offline. The price is ok and affordable. This huge soap foams just average, it’s neither less nor more. The fragrance is nothing extraordinary but is pretty decent.
I have a combination skin and I hardly get acne. However, the soap definitely prevents acne. But for me, using the soap turned out to be a huge mistake! After just a single wash, my mum observed changes in my skin. It darkened my already dusky skin! There was no way I was going to continue using the soap after that! I think this soap will darken dry and combination skin. I am not sure about oily skin. Oily skinned people please try it once and let me know! Another adverse reaction I faced with using this soap was that it dried out my skin pretty shoddily. If my combination skin fared this badly, I wonder how dry skin will cope with this soap. Scary indeed! You definitely need to moisturize your skin after washing your face or bathing with this soap.
Pros:
- Affordable Herbal soap
- All ingredients are skin-friendly (supposedly)
- Good packaging
- Lovely perfume
- Foams enough (not too much)
- Lasts long
- Prevents acne
- Suitable for combination to oily skin
Cons:
- Not travel friendly because of its huge size. Maybe Vaadi can come up with smaller varieties of their soap? However, this isn’t a huge deal breaker for me.
- You can’t find them offline. You can find them in online stores only.
- Complete ingredient list is missing
- Not suitable for dry skin.
- Need to moisture skin after use
- And here’s the biggie - darkens skin
Rating:
3/5
Will I repurchase and Do I Recommend the Vaadi Herbals Anti Acne Soap?
No, if you don’t want to become darker, that is! I am definitely not buying this one again. If you have dry to combination skin, stay away from this one. If you are game enough to try it, you can give it a shot Oily skinned people, I am waiting for your feedback.
